Description: This bundle includes 10 hours of our most popular webinars. These webinars are the most frequently purchased by UMACHA members, and this bundle includes our three-part 2023 Rules vs Reality series where we explore real-life scenarios that tend to be a little more gray than black and white when it comes to understanding what the ACH Rules say.

This bundle includes the following webinars:
  •  Breaking Down the Green Book & Federal Government ACH Payments – 90 min
    • The Bureau of the Fiscal Service issued revisions to the Green Book in 2023 that include significant changes to how financial institutions respond to reclamation notices. During this webinar, we break down the Green Book, one chapter at a time, in a way that is easy to understand. The session includes discussion about the government’s new Automated Reclamation Processing System (“ARPS”) via Pay.gov, the reclamation process – including how to limit your liability – and an overview of key provisions included in Chapters 1 – 5 of the Green Book.
    • Continuing Education Credits: 1.8 AAP/APRP credits each
  • ACH Return Reason Codes Explained – 90 min
    • With 70 different return reason codes utilized in the ACH Network, it can be challenging to stay on top of what the most appropriate return reason code is to use in a given situation. Which return reason codes require a Written Statement of Unauthorized Debit (“WSUD”)? How many days do we have to process a return? What about the return reason codes that have unusual time frames that don’t fall into the standard or extended return time frames? This session will answer all these questions and more, including an overview of dishonored returns, contested dishonored returns, and returns that are processed by the ACH Operator or Gateway.
    • Continuing Education Credits: 1.8 AAP/APRP credits
  • Exploring the Fundamentals of the ACH Network – 90 min
    • Join us as we introduce the ACH Network by reviewing who uses ACH and how it is used, a brief history of how the network has progressed from 1968 to today, and who the primary participants are - including ODFIs, RDFIs, and Originators, and the roles they play. This session also includes a review of industry terms and concepts, a review of common ACH products (often referred to as Standard Entry Class Codes), and the legal framework that governs how ACH is processed.
    • Continuing Education Credits: 1.8 AAP/APRP credits
  • Check Exceptions: Returns, Adjustments, and Claims – 60 min
    • Despite downward trends in check processing volume, financial institutions continue to be challenged with the operational nuances involved in handling check returns, adjustments, and claims where one financial institution must deal directly with another financial institution for resolution. Join us as we discuss the differences between check returns and adjustments – including a review of scenarios when you can return and when you can adjust – as well as how certain fraud-related claims are handled.
    • Continuing Education Credits: 1.2 AAP/APRP/NCP credits
  • Rules vs. Reality 2023 (Three-Part Webinar Series) – 90 min each
    • Join us as we discuss real member experiences, which can often be more hair-raising than fiction. Our goal is to shed light on practical scenarios that financial institutions are regularly dealing with, providing a platform for a deeper understanding of how the Nacha Rules may be effectively applied in practice. We'll also foster an exchange of ideas, with discussions on how to make informed judgment calls as we weigh the Rules vs Reality.
    • Continuing Education Credits: 1.8 AAP/APRP credits each
Continuing Education Credits (CECs): 12.0 AAP/APRP CECs and 1.2 NCP CECs total
