Description: Join us for a comprehensive five-part series intended to guide aspiring AAPs through the fundamental concepts essential for success in the AAP exam. Each session offers practical insights into the provisions of the Nacha Operating Rules likely to be within the scope of the AAP exam. This series is also valuable for current AAPs seeking continuing education credits and payments professionals aiming to refresh their ACH knowledge.

Topics covered during this series include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Part One: Discussion about the AAP Exam, introduction to ACH, explanation of primary participants, legal framework, and terminology of ACH
  • Part Two: General ACH Rules found in Article One, ACH Rules applicable to ODFIs found in Article Two, authorization requirements and types of authorizations, and Standard Entry Class (SEC) Codes
  • Part Three: ACH Rules applicable to RDFIs found in Article Three, including debit and credit processing (e.g. funds availability requirements), exception processing, and dispute-related considerations
  • Part Four: ACH Rules applicable to the ACH Operators, file formatting, identifying types of risk within the ACH Network, and a few sample questions to test your knowledge on the concepts covered so far
  • Part Five: General payments overview, including discussion about the primary participants and flow of transactions for check, wire transfer, card, and instant payments
