Description:  This webinar is part of UMACHA's 2024 AAP Exam Prep Series. Originating Depository Financial Institutions (ODFIs) play a critical role in ensuring the ACH Network continues to operate effectively. From understanding an ODFI’s responsibilities when onboarding new ACH Originators to the authorization warranties made for each Entry originated into the ACH Network, this session explores a wide range of obligations and rules applicable to ODFIs. This session also explores an ODFI’s obligation when processing Prenotifications, Micro-Entries, Reversals, and Commercial Reclamations. Finally, the session wraps up with reminders about the reporting obligations each ODFI has to Nacha regarding Direct Access Debit Participants, Third-Party Senders, and the ACH Contact Registry.
