Session Description: With its dramatic valuation shifts and frequent fraud headlines, cryptocurrency has always been a source of educational and emotional whiplash. Even so, the speed of this election-driven regulatory pivot from excessive enforcement to exuberant embrace is making bank and credit union heads spin faster than ever. This session will provide an overview of what’s changed, what’s coming into focus, and how crypto will impact your financial institution’s future. And there’s no need to bring your IT team, the presentation is tailored for bankers, not Bitcoin bros. (Although they may learn a few things, too.) Join us as we spill some timely crypto tea to help you prepare for the coming of digital currency.

Webinar Description: Of course, we know you would never break the rules… but what happens when you are party to an ACH transaction where another financial institution does not appear to be complying with the Nacha Operating Rules? This may come in the form of an Originator and ODFI not responding appropriately to a Notification of Change by making the requested changes, or perhaps a financial institution is not providing requested documentation – like an RDFI providing a Written Statement of Unauthorized Debit or an ODFI providing proof of authorization for an ACH Entry. And what about when the breach of warranty process goes nowhere because the respondent is not cooperating? During this session, we will explore Nacha’s System of Fines and Arbitration processes and discuss how they can be used to help resolve issues of non-compliance and disputes between financial institutions.

Webinar Description: Regardless of whether you are an ODFI, RDFI, or both, you are making warranties and indemnities to other ACH Network participants every day. This session discusses what a warranty and indemnity are and why you should understand the warranties and indemnities you are making. The session takes a deep dive into the warranties and indemnities regarding ACH authorizations, Notifications of Change, and transactions where an Eligible Source Document (i.e. check) is converted to an ACH debit. Finally, the session wraps up with a discussion on what to do when you are unable to resolve a dispute with another financial institution regarding an asserted breach of warranty.
